三年级综合文化课 P3 Experiential CL Cultural Programme

综合文化课的目的: 让学生在轻松愉快的氛围下学习,寓教于乐,提升学生对中华文化的认识和兴趣。                                              

With its structured programmes catered to pupils, the objective of the  Experiential CL Cultural Programme aims to promote awareness of the Chinese Heritage, as well as to provide opportunities for pupils to experience the joy of learning the Chinese language and culture through 4 various culture-based activities. 四年级茶艺课 P4 Tea-Appreciation Workshop

每名四年级的学生都有机会通过6个小时的茶艺课程,加强他们对中国人饮茶文化的认知,从基本茶具、茶的品种到学习泡茶的礼仪,学生都能够在专人的指导下掌握学习。 课程也向学生灌输向长辈敬茶在传统华人社会中的重要性。今年开始,学生有机会在“文蕴轩”(文化室)上茶艺课,充分沉浸在浓厚的文化氛围中学习。

The workshop aims to let our pupils learn 
about the different types of Chinese tea and the traditional tea brewing techniques, as well as emphasizing the importance of serving tea to the elders as a form of showing respect in a traditional Chinese family.

《弟子规》课程(校本课) School-based curriculum: Dizigui (Standards for being a Good Student)

为了让学生更懂得孝顺父母,友爱兄弟姐妹,校方设计了一套《弟子规》课程,提供教案和微软简报,让老师们能够通过有趣的视频跟学生讲解条文。我们希望学生能够把古人的良好作息、道德精神发挥在现今的日常生活中。

“Dizigui《弟子规》refers to the standards for being a good child and student. It is based on teachings handed down by the Sages of the ancient past. Teachers use the verses in “Dizigui” to teach our pupils to be filial to their parents, how to interact with siblings and peers, to be socially adaptable, as well as to cultivate good habits in life. 

三、四年级中华历史课(校本课程) School-based curriculum: Chinese History for P3 and P4 pupils

这项校本课程由全体主流班华文老师分担设计简报和教案,让老师们能够以较精简的方式让学生学习博大精深的中国五千年的历史文化。
 

六年级南小校史(校本课) School-based curriculum: School History for P6 Pupils

为了让学生在踏出南小校园后还能情系母校,我们主导教师,郑月花老师设计了一套校史教材,让所有六年级的学生进一步了解学校的历史,从中体会何谓“十年树木,百年树人”。
 
Nanyang History Programme is incorporated into the P6 curriculum time to equip pupils with the knowledge of history of Nanyang primary school so as to instil love for their alma mater.
 

双语课程 Bilingual Programme

为了培育双语精英,我们在2012年开始落实双语课程。一年级的主题主要围绕在日常生活如超级市场的货品;二年级的主题则是“各行各业”。 这项课程今年已步入第四个年头,也扩展到了三、四年级。 我们希望通过这项达到让学生更好地掌握双语的目标。

The Bilingual Programme (BP) was successfully kicked off in 2012. It was an initiative by the SP(SAP) department to promote the effective and meaningful learning of both the Chinese and English language through a conducive and supportive school environment. The themes of the curriculum for P1 are based on racial harmony and education on identification of Products @ the Supermarket. career aspects. Chinese teachers make use of pictorial books to initiate and enhance interest in the children’s’ learning of BP. The programme is led by our Senior teacher, Mdm Tay Wan Cheng and has progressed into the P4 level since 2014.

浸濡活动

筹办浸濡活动的目的:

  1. 让学生有机会在海内外进行语言与文化学习交流。
  2. 为学生提供在中国、台湾等地优秀学府强化学习华文的环境,并提高他们对中华文化的认识。
  3. 通过与当地师生的交流,促进学生对现代中国、台湾等地的社会的了解,扩大学生的视野和学习面。
  4. 提供学生一个学习自立的机会,同时加强本地师生之间的关系。

本地浸濡活动(P4)

每年我们让四年级的学生报名,并选出60-70位参与为期约10天的本地浸濡活动。学生必须入住一间宿舍,并且通过有趣的文化活动或参观景点、户外郊游等来进一步加强对中华文化的认识和体验。

海外浸濡活动(P5)

五年级的学生将有机会报名参加海外浸入团,到中国各地(如:北京、西安、福建、南京、扬州、重庆等)或台湾等与当地学生老师进行交流,并且学习和体验异国风土民情。

The P4 pupils will have an opportunity to participate in the Local immersion programme, whilst the Taipei and Beijing/Xi’an and nanjing/Yangzhou immersion programmes are mainly catered for the P5 pupils. We aim to provide pupils an enriched learning experience in Chinese language and its culture when they are given more exposure in the language in countries such like China and Taiwan. By mingling and staying with their peers at the boarding place for about two weeks during each immersion programme, we hope that the children can learn some life skills and be more independent. 

“学生大使”培训计划 School Ambassadors Training Programme

由郑月花主导教师负责的“学生大使”培训课程每年都会挑选出在口语能力较强的学生,让这些富有潜能的学生接受公开演说训练,以便担任校内庆典的司仪,或成为学生大使招待学校外来访客。

The Student Bilingual Ambassador Programme aimed to train pupils who have the potential for public speaking in becoming Masters of Ceremonies as well as Young Ambassadors. These young ambassadors will have the opportunity to host visitors from other countries to hone their communication and presentation skills. The Programme was into its fifth year of implementation since 2010, with encouraging improvement made.
